Dr Peter Harper
Professor John Deanfield
Dr Peter Harper is a world-renowned oncologist. He was the founding Medical Oncologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, where he built a globally recognised clinical research and training department.
A visionary leader, he co-founded Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) and developed the Living Well programme, as early as 2006, an early precursor to the concept of longitudinal health management, groundbreaking at the time.
Throughout his career, he has advanced global oncology initiatives and was a co-author of the internationally recognised Paris Charter Against Cancer.
He has been honoured internationally with the Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur and continues to contribute to cancer care development worldwide.
Dr Harper is Chairman, and a Founding Partner of One Welbeck, the renowned diagnostic & treatment centre in London.
Professor John Deanfield was appointed CBE for his pioneering work in the prevention and treatment of heart disease. He is a global leader in cardiovascular medicine, with over 40 years of expertise spanning childhood to later life.
Based at University College London, he has published over 570 papers and developed the first non-invasive test for early vascular disease. He has led landmark studies on obesity, diabetes and inflammation.
As the UK’s first Champion for Personalised Prevention, he has created national strategies and digital tools, including the “Heart Age” test, and chaired major lifetime risk guidelines.
He continues to work internationally to advance healthcare through early detection and prevention.
